Markets & manual trading

Tap ๐Ÿ›’ Markets from the main menu to browse trending markets, search by keyword, or paste a polymarket.com link. Every market opens a detail screen where you can buy, sell, or redeem โ€” all signed by the bot on your behalf.

Finding a market

Three entry points, all under ๐Ÿ›’ Markets:

  • Trending โ€” five markets per page, sorted by Polymarket's native trending signal. Pagination buttons walk you forward through the list.
  • ๐Ÿ” Search โ€” type any keyword (e.g. bitcoin, fed, election). The bot queries Polymarket's Gamma API and returns up to five matches.
  • Paste a link โ€” drop any polymarket.com/event/โ€ฆ or polymarket.com/market/โ€ฆ URL into the chat at any time. The bot recognises it and jumps straight to the market detail screen, even mid-conversation.

The market detail screen

Every market shows you the question, both outcome prices in cents, the resolution date, 24-hour volume, and your existing position (if any). The action buttons change based on market state:

StateButtons shown
Trading open๐ŸŸข Buy [outcome 1] ยท ๐Ÿ”ด Buy [outcome 2] ยท Sell (if you hold) ยท ๐Ÿ”— Polymarket
Trading closed, awaiting resolution๐Ÿ”„ Refresh ยท ๐Ÿ”— Polymarket โ€” no buy/sell while resolution is pending

Buying

Tap a Buy button on the detail screen. The wizard walks you through:

  1. Pick an amount โ€” preset percentages of your free balance (5% ยท 10% ยท 25% ยท 50%), a typed USD amount, or โœ๏ธ Custom. Presets that wouldn't clear the market's $1.10 minimum are hidden.
  2. Pick an order type โ€” market or limit.
  3. Confirm โ€” review screen shows the est. shares, fill price, and (for market orders) a 2% slippage cap.

Market vs limit (buys)

Order typeHow it fillsWhen to use it
๐Ÿ“ˆ Buy now (market)FOK โ€” fills immediately at ~ask + 2% slippage cap, or cancels. You want in now and the spread is tight.
๐Ÿ“‹ Set price (limit)GTC โ€” order rests in the book at the price you typed until matched or cancelled. You're happy to wait for a specific entry price.

Limit prices accept either decimal (0.55) or cents (55). A limit higher than the current ask fills immediately at ~your price; a limit lower than the ask rests until someone hits it.

Tip โ€” keep individual trades small. A useful rule of thumb is to risk no more than ~1% of your portfolio on any single buy. It sounds conservative, but prediction-market outcomes are binary and uncorrelated โ€” small position sizes let you stay in the game across many markets instead of being knocked out by a single bad call. You can enforce this automatically with Risk Cap in Copy Trade settings; the cap applies to manual buys too.

Selling

Sell from either the market detail screen or directly from a portfolio card. Wizard:

  1. Pick a size โ€” preset percentages of your held shares (25% ยท 50% ยท 75% ยท 100%) or a typed share count.
  2. Pick an order type โ€” market (FAK) or limit (GTC).
  3. Confirm โ€” the review screen shows estimated proceeds at the current bid and a per-trade PnL preview using your average entry price and cost basis. The preview pro-rates cost basis to the fraction you're selling.

Market vs limit (sells)

Order typeHow it fillsWhen to use it
๐Ÿ“‰ Sell now (market)FAK โ€” partial fills allowed at โ‰ฅ slippage cap (2%), unfilled portion cancels. You want out, even if the book is thin.
๐Ÿ“‹ Set price (limit)GTC โ€” rests at your price until matched or cancelled. You're holding out for a target exit.

Redeeming a winning position

Once a market resolves and you held the winning side, the detail screen replaces buy/sell with a ๐ŸŽ Redeem button. Tap it to see the estimated payout (shares ร— $1) and confirm. Funds settle to your deposit wallet on Polygon and show up in your balance within a minute.

The redeem button also appears on resolved positions in your Portfolio view โ€” handy when you don't remember which markets you're still owed payouts on.

Fees

Mirrored charges 1% on realized profit only at sell or redeem time. There's no fee on losses, no per-trade signing fee, and no fee on entries. The deduction happens silently in the background โ€” your visible balance reflects the net amount after the next sweep. See the FAQ for more.

Notifications

Every fill produces a push notification with the question, side, dollar amount, fill price, and a link to the market. Limit orders also notify when they finally match. Cancellations and failed orders surface their reason (insufficient balance, slippage exceeded, market closed).

Limits and minimums

  • Minimum trade: $1.10 (Polymarket's order book floor).
  • Slippage cap (market orders): 2% โ€” fixed.
  • Risk Warn / Risk Cap โ€” if you've set thresholds in Copy Trade settings, manual buys above your warn % get a confirmation banner, and buys above your cap % are blocked. Both use your live net worth.
